"All Over But the Shouting: An Oral History" was scheduled to be out on Nov.15, but it looks like it hit stores early, so check your favorite bookstore for a copy.
Harp Magazine has both a review of the book and an interview with author Jim Walsh.

An outstanding book. Truly a warts and all retelling of a great band. The post-Mats picture of Bob and Tommy breaks my heart. I saw them three times and was forunate enough to only see A+ shows. I got to meet them after the first show and got their autographs on my ticket. They told everyone what bar they were going to after the show and no one believed them. My friends and I went, of course, just in case and sure enough they came stumbling down the street. Their autographs included Elton John (Tommy) and 'Slim Can't Hardly Spell' Nice Midwest guys. Painfully shy but good guys. Your heroes always disappoint you when you meet them but not the Mats. As Jim Walsh makes plain throughout the book, they were just like us. They just happened to make outstanding music too
Have to say I was disappointed in this book. First, the collection of quotes format is lame, I was expecting more of a written effort. Second, many of the quotes are just cribbed from interviews and magazine articles that I've read before. Third, the book heavily focuses on Paul and Bob, not so much on Tommy and Chris.
Still, hardcore Replacements fans will get some tidbits out of it. Just don't pay full price for it or get it from your local library.
